The AL-KO Trailer Breakaway Cable measures 1030mm in length and is compatible with a variety of towing setups.
It is engineered to connect securely to your trailer's coupling mechanism. In operation, the cable loops over the vehicle’s tow ball and fastens back onto itself, forming a secure link between the trailer and the towing vehicle.
In the event that the trailer becomes disconnected from the towing vehicle while in motion, the breakaway cable immediately engages the trailer’s brakes, preventing it from running loose and reducing the risk of an accident.
At this point, the cable separates from the tow ball, fully severing the connection between the trailer and the vehicle.
